Kalibras 30–112 mm, masė iki 8 kg (kartais ir didesnė), veiksmingojo šaudymo nuotolis iki 500 m, pramuša iki 400 mm šarvus. Šiuolaikinių lengvųjų granatsvaidžių pavyzdžiai: JAV 40 mm M79, 66 mm M72, 90 mm M67; Rusijos 40 mm RPG-7, 58,3 mm RPG-16; Vokietijos 60 mm Pzf3; Švedijos 84 mm „Carl Gustaf“ M2 ir M3; Izraelio 82 mm B300.
